Selling my original 66' deluxe in Sea Blue with Aero Papyrus interior and original engine. I've owned this bus for 7 years and thought I would never sell it, because I would never find one in this original condition again. The bus came from the state of Washington where the previous owner kept the bus in his garage for 21 years. When I bought the deluxe the outside paint was oxidized on every panel. The interior was mostly there in original condition and the original engine was not in the bus but came with it. I got to work, the only body work that was previously done was on the drivers rear corner and the paint didn't match. I had the rear corner properly fixed and blended to match the rest of the paint. After that I had a professional detailer spend 4 days of polishing the whole bus including the inside as well. I knew the paint would shine but didn't expect it be so nice! The paint was then protected with ceramic coating wich I apply on the deluxe once a year. As soon as I was happy with the paint I put my focus on the interior wich was in amazing shape except the two front seat covers. They only made the interior in Aero Papyrus for 18 months and it was impossible to find some original seat covers that were in decent shape. So I went to the next best thing. I had the late Matt Miller make me a new set of seat covers that came out beautiful. I also had Matt make me a middle seat cover just in case for later on. I still have that brand new seat cover that I never had to install yet because the original one is still in great shape. Also the original front and middle blue rubber mats are there and in great condition. Both of the kick panels are also in great original condition and as well as all the armrest in blue. The original Headliner is flawless and in incredible condition. This deluxe is 100% complete!! Then the deluxe went to Oldspeed for its final journey. Russell installed a narrowed 4" ball joint beam, 1" narrowed control arms, wilwood calipers, disc brakes on all four and Spax shocks with 28 dampening positions on them(best shocks for a lowered bus.The original 1500sp motor was completely gone through and stroked to a 1955 single port with a 4.12 r & p for the transmission. Then I had to decide on the shoes, wich I chose to be original South African sprintstars. Front wheels are 4.5" and the rears are 6". This deluxe was build to be a driver and I've driven it a few times a week for the last 7 years. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in and drive it across the country at any time. I've had lowered buses for the last 30 years, but this deluxe is hands down the best driving lowered bus that I have ever owned. There are some dents and dings, since I never wanted to repair anything that was original. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
