Selling one reproduction 6 Volt Veigel Pre A Porsche 356 electric tachometer made with NOS German made VDO components.
Only the tach that's shown in the picture is available. I don't have any other Porsche tachs. I don't make repro tachs for any Porsches built after 1955. I don't have any Porsche speedometers. I don't do tach rebuild, repair or conversion service for people. If this repro Pre A Veigel electric tach isn't what you need, contact one of the Porsche speedometer shops.
Tach with analog/transistorized German made circuit board, for stock Bosch distributors with breaker points. The signal wire connects to the negative side of the ignition coil. No mechanical cable or oil pump with geared tach drive required. You can use a Porsche 912 or 36 horse VW oil pump cover to replace the stock Pre A Porsche 356 mechanical oil pump tach drive, and file off the tach drive worm gear or replace the oil pump gears with 912 or 36 horse VW non tach drive oil pump gears. The tach has a period correct curved glass lens, and the extra deep glass retaining ring, just like an original Pre A mechanical tach. Complete with wiring harness, wiring diagram, mounting hardware, light sockets and 6 Volt bulbs. This tachometer fits into a 100mm diameter hole.
Shipping: Subtract $10.00 for the cost of a Priority envelope to mail your check to me, and add $20.00 for shipping in the USA. If you are in Canada, tell me how much a tracked envelope would cost, and I'll ask my bank how much they would charge for the currency conversion. If it's not too much, I may or may not cover it myself. I also take bank transfers. Shipping to Canada is $45.00 via Priority mail. No Paypal or any other online payments. This is permanent. I will not be going back to taking PayPal payments at any point in the near or distant future.
