Original CA Bus. Has city power and water hookup, water pump at sink and portable single burner gas stove.
This bus has undergone a complete mechanical restoration over the past three years. Everything mechanical, electrical, suspension and brakes has been gone through and or replaced. It features an upgraded 79' 091 transmission that was rebuilt two years ago, all new CV axles, rebuilt axle hubs, all new rear brakes, new shocks and rebuilt torsion suspension. The engine only has 2500 miles on it, it's a new 1680cc dual port with dual Kadron carburetors, and electronic ignition system. Engine was balanced, blue printed using all the best parts available, all the sheet metal was powder coated and exhaust system ceramic coated. Alternator conversion with set up for dual batteries. Front end is entirely new down to every nut and bolt with new original disc brakes. New master cylinder and brake booster are part of new brake system, all new hoses and vacuum lines. The steering box was replaced two years ago as well and the column rebuilt. All the electrical has been gone through, replaced with upgraded parts. Much time, money and effort has been put into bringing this bus back to it's former glory. All that's left is some body work and upholstery. The interior cabinets were rebuilt, the fresh water system updated, Jump seat is removable. Comes with a few "tables" and a solar charging system. An ARB Awning is available, mounting points are already in place.
The body isn't the original color but the paint is still in fair condition, it was originally Savanah Beige and white and was a deluxe before the Sundial conversion. RUST: Yes it is a California Bus...It will need some attention to certain parts of the body in time to come, it's in solid good driver condition as it is. Areas that will need attention are: The battery tray, wheel wells and the lower windshield area. If you live in a dry area this bus would be ideal for years to come, no worries on maintenance and dependability, and as was mentioned, it is driver quality in it's present state, just needs a good home with someone who will preserve and maintain it.
