After many years leading the Safari Window market for Beetle and Bus we are very glad to present the first available production of the very rare and sought after Slightly Curved front Safari Windows.
When trying to purchase a set of Safari Windows for their car most of our customers don’t know which model applies to their car. We will do our best to clarify this issue in a very simple way. Take 5 minutes of your time because it will be worth your while.
Front Safari Windows -
1950-52 Split Window Beetle and 1952/57 Early and Late Oval Beetle use the same Safari Windows, remember these Beetles use the same big Sekurit 5mm thickness glass in all these years, so you will find the Ad as Split Oval Safari Windows on our store.
1958-64 Beetles use the well known flat glass Safari, inches height aprox. 15 inches (the middle glass section). You will find it as 1958-64 Front Safari Windows.
1965-67 Beetles use the rare slightly curved glass, aprox. 16 inches height, you could noted this in your front window section just testing a flat glass realizing that you will find an small gap on each corner (a “light hole”). See this item on our store as Front Safari Window “slightly” curved.
Be careful! In case you have a 64 or 68, please double check the year production / model! Remember each car produced after July is considered as “next year” model, example, 1964 August production will be 1965 model, etc. This point is really important to avoid mistakes ordering our items.
Now we have the last front Safari window shape we are offering, correct for 1968-74 Sedan, flat glass inches being, we can say it’s like the 58 just a bit taller, or like the 1965 slightly curved without it.
Rear Safari Windows -
Well, at this point it’s easier to explain.
From 1952 up to 57, we are offering the impossible to find Oval window, curved, oval shape, 5mm glass thickness, announced as Split Oval rear Safari window.
Then, to simplify, thanks God! We have two window shapes for the rest of the years (always referring to Sedan!) 58-64 well known curved window, inches height, and 1965-74, a bit “higher” glass, inches height.
