It's made from front seat material.

the flat 36mm wrench is for the generator nut. It is NOT for the rear axle nut. The one with my 53 was all mangled.

thanks for the pic Everett. I have a old metal toolbox with various tools and spare parts in it, lives on the spare tire tray, rather than a 'toolroll' behind the seat. Maybe I'll put one together.

Yes, the top image is from a Deluxe and is the Deluxe dark brown material.

The bottom one is from my Single Cab. It's black and matches the black front seat.

Looks like my kit might be missing a couple things.

I've never seen that tiny screwdriver pictured in the top photo.

My mistake, I see that the Deluxe owner said

"Here are the contents of the Barndoor era tool kit. This is from my '54. The top two tools (screw driver and wrench) are not original to the kit. All other tools match the list in the owners manual."

I'll have to throw a set of pliers and a crossbar into my kit.

I have seen several cars that had their original tool roll which did not match the upholstery fro that model. I have a tool roll that was made out of sunroof cover material. they were made out of whatever scraps were handy at the time. if your tool roll happens to match your buses upholstery, it is due to either a dilligent worker at the factory or just dumb luck.

Here are the dimensions from my tool roll. All dimensions are in mm with the exception of the overall dimensions which are in inches and shown on the wooden ruler. The roll is not made with a lot of precision. Notice that the stitching on the tool slots are not parallel and the flap is longer on one side than the other. Let me know if any of you need more detail:
