I'm installing new heater channels on my 65 coupe. They come with slots on the curved portion of the dogleg, but are missing the sliding door and the channel for the door.
Some research here indicates the door was first added in 62 or 63. Are these doors the same as the Beetle doors? Or, are they close enough to be modified for use?
What color would these have been in 65?
Thanks,
Byas
Of course, if anyone reading has a pair avail for sale, please let me know. _________________ 1971 1302LS Convertible (RHD) owned since '74

The Beetle's sliding cover is quite different from the KG's. The vent on the Beetle isn't curved like the KG's, and the size and shape are different. If you have metal fabrication skills, you could probably make one using just the little handle from the Beetle's cover, but you'd have to fabricate the rest of it.
As far as I've seen, the floor vents and sliding covers have always been painted black. _________________ Currently own:
