I am changing pans and noticed that my 69 has the fuel line entering the tunnel from the top, but the 73 has it coming in from the passenger side. What is the reason for this change? Gas tank?

my thinking is it's less kinking of the fuel line to connect it on the side rather than the top of the tunnel. Cool
