So I have a 1915 running with empi dual 34pct stock carbs. To make this run better what size jetting should I change ? I’m not a carb person so most of this knowledge is unknown to me. Any ideas would be helpful.
1.75 Needle and Seat
- .150 Main Jet
- 0.55 Idle Jet
- .175 Air Correction Jet
This is current since it’s stock. I just want to cruise with this motor in my 69 Transporter. I live in Nashville TN if elevation matters. Thank you for any help.

Two questions:

1) What is wrong with how it is running now that makes you think needs improvement?

2) What is your present tune? C/R, cam, heads, timing - initial final and RPMs, air fuel ratio at idle - light cruise and full throttle?

While I am driving it bogs down and stays with pedal to the ground at 30 miles an hour. It’s like it doesn’t have the”go” I would expect. No black smoke. I am unaware of the build of this motor as I didn’t build it a gentleman from Rome Georgia is all I know. Please keep in mind I am learning how to work on these since I decided to own one. I have built a 1641.

It could be a number of things besides the carbs:

Bad fuel pump
Plugged fuel filter
Intake manifold leaks
Ignition timing wrong
Bad coil
Fouled plugs
Bad plug wires
Cracked distributor cap
Worn ignition points
Bad condenser
Valve lash set too tight

And I am probably missing a few...

I'd start by checking the timing and the point gap first.
