Hi Guys / Girls

First post, just rejoined the VW scene last year, now back in the 90's Urethane bushes were the must do suspension upgrade, but I get the impression that nobody usese them now and was woundering why? Do they not last as long as predicted?

Cheers

Most of the urethane bushings available suck. The Bugpack urethane parts get brittle with age & crack/crumble. DO NOT use the urethane steering coupler.

I replaced all of the bushings in one of my MKI Golfs & started experiencing tracking issues with throttle input. After jacking the car up, I found that the control arms were moving back & forth 1.5” due to the urethane bushings wallowing out in only 6,000 miles.

Wow, I suspected there might be problems, but never envisaged anything that bad, no Urethane will be getting anywhere near my bug.

Poor quality is what I see.
