does anyone have a source for the W decklid license light lens, inner clear plastic cover kit, number 111 943 139? WW no longer sells them and it seems all other vendors worldwide are out of stock and every picture not surprisingly looks like a WW clone. my lens is in 3 pieces and incomplete at that and the seal looks like it was torched by Satan him/her/it/?self. seems there should be enough demand for these to be re-popped. I'll also post a wanted to classifieds but haven't had any luck with those over the years.

they didn't exist until 55
quote Bruce - The [inner] clear plastic cover was introduced on USA/Canada cars on Ch # 1-0860 576 (April 19th 1955). Prior to this, the housing was held in place with a single hex nut and two wing nuts on the lower studs so you could remove the bulb holder with no tools. When the cover appeared, they used 3 wing nuts.
a 52-55 light has shorter studs and a festoon bulb fitting. _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut
