A question about split bumper bracket seals

Are the brackets seals different considering the brackets aren't as thick as the 62 Beetle bumper bracket seals. Example,the split bumper bracket seals are made of 2 sections,the 62 Beetle bumper brackets are made of 3 sections,a thicker bracket.
