Found these at a local antique market yesterday. The smaller said that they were "given away at the dealer with every new beetle sold - and were in the glovebox."
Not sure if that's truly accurate - but I only paid pocket lint for them. Anyone ever seen these as an "official" accessory before? They seem like they might be 70s-early 80s vintage sunglasses based on shape and materials. Lenses are heavily crazed.... but kinda neat nonetheless.
Might go well with a sequined jump suit.

This post reminded me of this box I saw a few months ago.

I had a pair of those folding sunglasses in the same pouch in the late 80s when i was a kid.
I'm in the UK and i seem to remember them being sold new on a market stall. _________________ If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. |
