Well to start off...i want to so a SoCal-Resto, so i am really basicly redoing everything i can.
Interior: i want to keep this as stock as possible with a bit of flavor...Black carpet, black seats with 12 inch red stripe, and same with the door pannels. I want to go with the mock version of the Flat-4 GTV steering wheel and wood knobs, shifter, e-brake handle. Everything else left alone.
Exterior: I need to replace most of the chrome on the outside, and all the rubber. Needs a paint job. I am doing the classic 2 tone paint job....the colors as of now(i know it will change) are going to be Nissans 350z Silver Stone Gray with cream below the chrome strip. The top will need replacing, as well as all the wood in the frame. Top will be dark gray as well.
Suspension: Want the EMPI 5's on it. as well as 5-wide Discs and a 4 inch narrowed front Axel Beam.
Drive Train: I want either a turn key or i could possible build my own, but i want an 1835 with duel 40Webbers, duel quite packs, and some sort of combo freeway flyer with pro-street gears...basicly first and 2nd tight, and 4th stretched out for the highway.
Thats the plans as of now...which are subject to change!!!! _________________ '66 Vert, with a long ways to go!

I had a 74 sb vert back in high school...and loved it...till the day a girl pulled out in front of me and i hit her...45mph and no time to hit the brakes....stuck my head out the windsheild...Not cool.
My "Topless Fat Chick" was totaled... and was a sad day in my life....but 10 years later i found this 66 sitting not even a mile from my house...snagged it for less than 3k. so i think i did ok...and its much cooler than the Super i had befor. _________________ '66 Vert, with a long ways to go!

Yeah they look a bit sketchy there....but that photo was an optical illusion to some degree....but regardless the car has been lowered back down a bit on the stands and sits with a bit wider stance now....but thanks for the concern _________________ '66 Vert, with a long ways to go!

Dirt Driveway...Wife doesn't like it close to the house(had to hold her at gun point to let me buy it ) and most of my tools...and storage for the parts will be in that building...soon as i get the body off...its going in the building untill i can get it blasted and primed....and the pan is going to get a work over too. I want to lay down 4 sheets of plywood to acted as a floor for it...but not sure how long i will be on the project. _________________ '66 Vert, with a long ways to go!

That's the first thing I thought. Be careful I actually had a friend who was killed in this manner. Poor you a concrete pad. _________________ 65 Beetle Sedan

ass soon as i can get the castle nuts off the axels i will put it all back on its wheels and get if off the stands. Like i said before...i have lowered and readjusted the jack stands in the front...i hate crawling under the dang thing...even when the wheels are on the ground. little to rusty and shaky for me to crawl under.... _________________ '66 Vert, with a long ways to go!
