Thanks Jimbo. I was worried that the rod would not be able to provide the torque without flopping or bending but with a nice sharp drill bit in worked slick.

Great info, but either I missed it or you didn’t mention how you got the remnants of the screws out, after drilling the heads off. These would be the screws left in the body A pillar.
