I bought a set of John Lemke's new Ghia floor mats, and they just arrived this morning.

Very nice. As good looking as the Beetle repros from Wolfsburg West in my opinion. The material is obviously different to the touch from the originals, but they seem sturdy and are a great improvement over trying to find a set of beat up originals. While they feel different they still have the detail of the originals. Might even be a little bit thicker and sturdier.

Thanks John, I'm glad to see someone is stepping up and filling a need we all have.

I still have one original rear mat thats in good shape, but otherwise I thought those mats were history. Its good to see someone is reproducing them... And it sounds like they are good quality.

I just got mine, and they're excellent. John's pictures don't do them justice, so here's a few more:

The sheen on them is just the release agent from the molding process, like a new tire. I'm really impressed with these. Thanks John! (what else can you do?)

John,

Any way you could add the word "Ghia" in white script into the molding? Just wondering. Those mats look extra nice. When I'm ready for mat's I'll let you know! Smile
