Hi All-

I have a 1.9 wbx ....mostly apart as I replaced mounts. I had a fair amount of oil leaking at the filler tube/block junction. I have a gasket and am ready to put it back together.

Do I use gasket and sealant? If so what and how? I have a fresh tube of Reinzosil....

Thanks in advance!

A light smear of any good adhesive on the paper gasket..both sides will not hurt anything. It may be tough to clean up for the next fellow that takes it apart though.

Agree and if I recall that is a tough spot to deal with after install. I put some product on a couple likely leakers I just didn't want to see after my rebuild, so I applaud the move also.

Hylomar. Seals and easy to clean up if you have to.

No gasket, I used Permatex® Black. Excellent seal against hot oil.
