So I rebuilt my carburetor (hopefully correctly) and when putting it back on the really old crusty wiring between the ignition coil and Idle Cutoff Solenoid just broke in half! I have no idea how to fix wiring? Where do I buy new wiring? Do I need the like cap things they go into?

Ummm.... "Main jet cover plug?"

1973, so I'm assuming it's a PICT-3 carb of some kind.
There's only two items on the carburetor that have electrical connections, the automatic choke's heating element, and the idle cutoff solenoid. Which one of those do you mean? And what broke, just the wire or the tab on the component itself?

Anyway, hopefully it's just a wire you need to fix. You say you don't know anything about crimping new ends onto wires? Here's a video showing how to install the common cheap replacement crimp connector wire ends:

You can buy that sort of thing at any FLAPS, plus new wire.

And FYI, here's one showing how to install original style open-barrel crimp ends... but the crimp ends and the tool are specialty items and not very commonly found for sale in general auto parts stores.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Yes, I meant the Idle Cutoff Solenoid. This helps a lot. Thank you.
