Sandrail Engine Options need help from experienced enthusiasts

Hello all,

I recently bought a sand rail and I am looking to throw a new engine setup. I found the website kenedy engine adapter plates and it looks like there is quite a few options engine and transaxle wise. I am big into the ford 3.8 engines as my first car was a 3.8 Mustang and it now has a 4.3 Turbo but thats besides the point. My question is has anyone every put the ford 3.8 engine into their sand rails? Whats the most efficient transaxle that can handle the 200hp/tq the 3.8 puts out without spending more than 2k?

Best trans would be a Mendeola, but you should be able to get a built 6 rib that will handle that power without issue.
