I am looking to purchase a vw sandrail with a clean title as a home built vehicle. For insurance and loan purposes i need to find a listing or info on how to put a value to it. Does anyone have any idea where i can find a blue book of sorts for a sandrail? |

Get out the old spreadsheet and build one on paper....Chassis, wheels, tires, seats, lights, transaxle, engine, and a thousand other thing one needs it can total a few thousand or 10 -15 thousand depending on what you want...
I can tell you from the spreadsheet I kept the restoration of my fiberglass buggy (manx style) was close to $9500 in 2002 dollars....

I used two different appraisers. I got two different appraisal figures. Gave my attorney the highest one. No such thing as a blue book for spec const. You should have seen the drunk"s ins adjuster, didn't have a clue, but he did know how to measure tread depth. I submitted over 10k in reciepts for a 4500$ offer. I replied with :fist: |
