Found some Weber 40 IDF from a different set up

Will these work for a VW? It looks like if I was to pull these carbs off of what they’re mounted to then they might work.

Those are Weber DCOE carbs. They're side draft and with the right manifold will work on inline watercooled VWs, but for a flat 4 aircooled engine you'll need IDFs which are down draft. (though they are used in some turbocharged setups as a single sidedraft carb)

Those seem to range in price between a couple hundred to several hundred for the pair depending on condition.
