I recently bought this '63 from my buddy who hadn't done a whole lot with it since summer of '08 when he got it. Pics below are from the owner before him.
Changed hood and put apron on:

These pics are about 2 months ago with the body removed from the pan. I'll be updating this thread so I'm up to current pics.

Not exactly know where dirty jersey is but judging by the looks of the vehicle back east and rusty.
Lots of work to be done on that vehicle. Do keep us up to date. Oh are you going to keep the rear removeable H pattern? I always wished VW would have done that from the factory. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

Its actually all surface rust on the body. Car has had new heater channels put in, and front and rear wheel wells put in. Rear luggage tray patched. New front and rear aprons. Rear apron is welded in now. If you think about it, really all the hard work has been done. _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

More pics on prepping the pan.
Had to weld in the floor supports in the rear that someone cut off. Got them from a doner pan.

Good work man, are you going to paint it nice or roll it rough?

Whats this reservoir off of? Many have asked what is the best to use and that looks pretty useful.

I got this hood from a '62 with the other parts. It is more correct for my car since the VW emblem at the top is flat. It has a crack on the side that someone tried to fix. I may try to use it but it will take some work. The darker green one currently on the car is a 64-66 hood but its in pretty decent shape.
