The deal was settled around lunch today. The bus will be living life along the southeastern coast of France. Bittersweet but going to what I believe to be a great home. So grateful for all I’ve learned, all the people this bus has introduced me to, and to the groundings of my passion for Volkswagens.
Next stop Houston, then back on the boat!

The gentlemen involved with this deal have been kind, honest, and fair. This is my first dealings with anything internationally so there’s a lot of skepticism.
Just be honest, logical, and safe.
Apparently there are plenty of bus nuts across the globe.

Congrats on the sale, if you're coming down 59/69 through Houston stop by for a beer, I'm 3 minutes off the highway.

Now that it's been over a year since selling the Westy and getting the Doka, are you happy with your decision?

Kent, are you trying to stir up my logic of existence?! Laughing Laughing Laughing

To be honest, there is nothing like a Westfalia. The conveniences, the layout, the versatility, the function, I haven't camped now as I did all those years with the Westy. Camping with the double cab is different, and there are most certainly days I long for my old orange friend.

It was such a nice bus, but I have no regrets. The bus formulated my understanding of buses, of VW's. And look what has transpired! What a thing. I still have days where I tell myself I'll get another Westy, but we'll see. Having the double cab and now the Panel, I've got plenty of vehicles. I've got ideas to use the Panel for work but also as a camp wagon. But again, there's not another vehicle out there like a Westy. To drive to your spot, park, pop the top, and have all the room two people need, along with the resources to make the best out of camping, rain or shine, it's the ultimate setup.

Well shit, now that I'm rambling and place perspective on the radness of Westfalias, sounds like I should be in the market! Laughing

I'm very grateful and humbled to have found that bus. I'm grateful for the knowledge and skillsets learned, the patience learned, and find great satisfaction knowing it is being used, enjoyed on the coasts of France.

And I hope he's got a shit-eatin' grin from headlight to headlight with all those beautiful French women hanging out.

You're welcome Pushpop, go get em buddy Cool

Still need to link up one of these days Kent, and one day we shall.

Sam
