|

It took me quite a bit of time to find a 12v fridge that would fit into the existing sink cabinet of my 1970 camper. We do not use the sink so all of the plumbing is removed with the exception of the sink which we use as a catch-all.
Hope this helps someone else.

That looks like a nice fit. The light looks pretty cool too. I've been looking for a 12 volt fridge also to fit in that space. |

It fit perfectly. I just add mounting blocks on the left and right and screwed it in. It rests on the floor and has just the right clearance for the swing down door to clear the top of it. Really clean.
Just going to change out the face of the door to match and I am done. Cold beer!!! |

can you reverse the door so it opens to the left? That would make for easier access to the goodies inside with the sliding door open. _________________ '66 Beetle

Yeah...you can reverse it. We debated about it and might change it now that we see how it functions. |

I was just gonna say it would be nice to match the door with the factory cabinetry look. I also thought about using one of those little fans inside portable coolers that run off 12 volts. Put it into existing fridge but not sure if it would work or not. I think you can use them for cooling and also for warming. |

I have one of those 12v portable cooler/warmers...P75 Koolatron. Mediocre at best. I was just tired of dealing with food spoiling and this one got some pretty good reviews. So far so good. |

If anyone is using the $99 coleman 12 volt and aren't happy with it I have a trick you might not know . the problem with them is the thermostat ; they freeze up on themselves.....I got this out of a truck drivers magazine .....After they have run for a day and cooled down ; shut it OFF for an hour ...
I had a oven timer taped to the top of mine . I would set the timer every time I shut it off so I wouldn't forget it was off ....27 days in the truck and 4 days off ; never want to do that again . _________________ 63 two fold rag

This is awesome!!!
How deep does it go in? Does the reservoir tank for the water get in the way??? _________________ -1973 Volkswagen Bus Westy (Weekender)

I put a Haier fridge in mine. Did have to remove the water tank, but that's fine with me. Haven't seen it go above 30 much unless the door is open for a few minutes. Quickly cools back down. |
