That Fastback got little respect at that Suckramento Bug O Rama show amongst club people and clueless people. But you won the internet. Especially world wide Samba folks that know stuff .\m/ _________________ Keep on Busin'

Hey hey my man.
Good to finally hook up with a fellow local after so many years.
While a VW car show certainly is NOT my thing,
it is great to meet up with a couple fellow VW nuts.
I get super stoked when someone comes along who can appreciate the amount of work done here.
Got a great spot this time next to some cool bus people who had shade -and- beer!
Made the whole "sit around all day and talk about it" show thing better.
I love driving my car so much, it's really not a show car anymore.
Didn't even wash it for this event.
Plus,
It doesn't have a roof rack, air-ride, Dynamat, safari window, etc.
Always come away from these events swearing 'never again!',
But hooking up with a couple new VW heads makes it worth it. |
Yup, and I agree 100%. Now I'll go to an Invasion to get my fix, but I've also been to some domestic shows as well, and get a better appreciation there. Most of the time lately, I'll take my POS car and just hang out with friends as they show their cars (for support), as I prefer to just drive my car and enjoy it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

good to see it's getting driven after all the work put in.
I was just wondering the other day if it was getting driven, or parked in the living room _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/jim_martin_engine_build.php
