So it's been a while. Lots of assembly and other nightmares but it lives. Paint has to be redone in a couple places that don't quite match but otherwise it's on the road.

He is alive! Hi Lid! Looks good. |
Thanks. It was a huge undertaking but if I kept my '57 I would still be working on it. I put about 165 miles on it just putzing around after I discovered the timing was off by about 20 degrees and every valve but one was overtightened. Ran great but I figured I'd be "smart" and take care of some other unknowns like the cap, rotor and points. Not smart. It ran for 5 minutes after that and died. I should have spent the money and bought Bosch parts. Now I'm thinking I'm going to upgrade to a 019 anyways so I won't bother ordering more parts for the distributor I have. After driving on Michigan/Ohio highways a bit I thought I need a little extra help the next time I need to merge with traffic. Scary. _________________

Thanks. The original would have been body colored but they're impossible to find. This one is (was) NOS and although it is not the correct green, it almost matches the interior. _________________
