hello everyone ! My 1963 Split Window Bus was being “restored” by a not so smart guy three years ago. When I bought it, I noticed the M-Plate was gone and he had no idea where it was. So my question is: is there any way to find out the characteristics of the car ? I mean build date, Interior & exterior colours ? Accesories ? Thanks ! Greetings from Costa Rica

I just got one for my Bus from this website. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.com/en_us/service/certificate-data-sheets.html Does your Bus still have the engine? If you give them the number they can also tell you if it's the original or not!

Yes, If your bus was made in Germany you can find out all those details by ordering the birth certificate from Germany. They do charge you a fee to do this. Here is a link. '
