Almost 10 years ago we bought some parts and a few cars, in this lot was this ugly unfinished baja project. My son and i decided to finish it.
We fixed al the sloppy welding and sprayed the car.
And then,.....it becam again an unfinished project.

At that time i found this topic and decided to mount the bus gearbox that was lying in the workshop, so plans wher made but, lots of other projects needed our attention so the baja collected dust for several years. Until recently we started again .

Unfortunatly there where no sizes ,just foto's. So i had to eyeball eveything.
The rods are made of rectangular tubing 40 *20 millimeter .
I used super beetle track rod control arm bushings because they are easy to obtain and easy to replace. A friend made small tubes in the richt dimensensions so the bushing could be pressed in.

The large mounting plates are made of 8mm steel . I took measerments with a sheet of paper and rubbed with dirty hand over the holes, then transfered it to the steel.

A small problem just came up, my bushings have a 10 mm hole, so the lower mounting point has a 10 mm bolt. The shock absorber has a 12 mm mounting hole ( i think 10 with a sleeve in the shock will not do) .

Looking at the pictures of your radius rods, you can probably ream out the inner diameter of the bushings to 12mm with a drill bit. Either in a hand held drill or a drill press. I've done that many times with shock end bushings going from 12mm to 1/2". The 1/2" fine thread grade 8 bolt is much stronger than a 12mm 8.8.
