Hi,

I recently acquired a reed green L313 january 1956 oval beetle with a
ragtop. Body and pan work has been done by the previous owner, but he
decided to sell the car unfinished. I'm now the happy owner of this
beauty to reassemble. Here are pictures of the car:

I'm actively searching for new upholstery and I'd love to get
something that matches the original one: green fabric combination.

In the following picture, here's what's left of an original door panel
for reference.

Here are also examples that I think are equivalent (not my car and
images found by browsing the internet):

I saw a post on facebook showing an interior made by West Coast Classic Interior that resembles my original
interior. I like it a lot even though it looks a bit brighter (the
vinyl for sure but the fabric too). Could you tell me if in your
opinion this matches my original interior?

Do WCCI import fabric from HimmelService (Ingrid Oppermann) in Germany?
If this is the case, is it the "white dots grey/green" fabric that is
used? I can't find any pictures of this fabric used for real in a
finished car. And in their website this fabric tends to be more grey
than green.

I also saw this interior built for a reed green beetle early 2023 by WCCI as well.
It looks fantastic! Unfortunately it is leatherette and this doesn't
exactly match what's indicated in the identification certificate of my
beetle. I love it though and this will definitely be my second
preferred choice if I don't find a suitable fabric or already built
upholstery.

Aside this comparison considerations I'm more importantly looking for pictures showing interiors of reed green oval beetles. If you own one or know someone you does, please share pictures. I already tried to contact previous owner who put ads for such cars here, but without success for now. The cars being sold, I can't access the pictures anymore.

Also I'm interested if you have been using the "white dots grey/green" from HimmelService for your interior to get pictures of the finished upholstery.

Thanks a lot for your answers.
All the best.

I used WCCI for my 57 oval. They are really helpful and I would direct any questions about there fabric to them. They will also send you samples of there materials if you ask. They will also substitute different piping and vinyl if you request it. When I did my car I sent samples of vinyl for them to match because the vinly they advertised was to light compared to the original. I would not rely on pictures to color match, you should get a physical sample.

Here are better close-up pictures of the fabric (with better white balance).

Looks like I found a manufacturer that creates a fabric that is very similar.

I'm gonna ask for samples very soon.
