Nankangs are $70 or $80, if memory serves. I'm sure the Yokos run more. _________________ Look at my for sale ads.

They do make those tires still. I just ordered 4 Theyre just racer only |
Oh sweet! I've been looking everywhere for them, where did you find them? |
I ordered them straight from BFG. They're taller than your average 7x15. They measured at close to 31" tall. But the bad thing is they aren't sold to the public so you have to call them directly to get them. _________________

I'd like to put 7.00x15's on mine, but I'm worried it would look silly since my rear tires are only 28 inches tall. 7.00x15's are about a 29 inch diameter arent' they? I'm worried it might look silly with the driving uphill look, LOL.
I am hesitant to run bigger tires on the back because its slow enough already |

poomwah, in response to your other tire advice thread, i believe that my fronts are 7.00. and yeah, they would be roughly 29 inches tall. it wouldnt be that weird. i have roughly 30.5s on my rear. i think it looks great. _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."

Front Suspension-Stock ball joint beam with 8" travel fox shocks with reservoir
Rear Suspension-boxed stock arms, short 27mm torsion bars, dual 12" travel fox shocks with reservor's
Front tire/wheel-15x4btr with 30x7 nanco tires
Rear tire/wheel-15x7btr with 31x10.50 definity dakota all terrain tires
The ride is a little rough on the street, but it works great in the desert. Front tires rub a little at full lock, but I bent some of the body to clear so it's not really an issue.

I have them on the back of my car using a 6 inch Centerline, but my friend Getrdone had them on the back of his car using the 4 inch BTR beadlock and it worked well. _________________ http://www.wix.com/baja5s/nightrun |

I thought of another good thing to post if you guys would't mind.
It would be helpful to know what engines are being used as well, and how well or poorly they perform with the tire choice posted |

auslander, you can get 31-10.50's on a 4 inch rim. D.O.T suggests against it but it is only a suggestion... _________________ HBB took me to BBV. |

BFG All t/a's great tires. run them on are Jeep,F150,vanagon,stock baja.
they do Very well in snow, sand and street.
Just not on My baja. they lacked the grip on loose gravel I was looking for.
30x9.5 on all 4 stock irs and bj front. 1600 dp engine give it lots of gas to get moving
I put about 20miles on the All t/as and gave them up.
thext94's baja with the km2s on the rear convinced me to give'em a try.
I have taken them to hell and back* and I lovem
just watch out for rocks bigger than you tire going really fast _________________ 70% of what you buy is something to start with.

Running these Padla Trak "stagger cut" for 36 years in the sand on our Manx. They are 16.50-15 mounted on 18" rims. We run a 1835cc with a very low end cam which gives us a very strong and responsive first gear and with this size tire that is what you need for good all-around performance in the dunes.
What I have learned in all our years and different sand tires is wider is better as it gives you more floatation and bite in the sand. But you have to match the power and weight of your Baja or buggy to the tire as you can easily overmatch them with too wide of sand tire.

can anyone recommend a good size for front and rear tires with 7x14 mag wheels, please? Gotta keep the wheels, they are vintage 5 slot mags. ... Prefer a tad skinnier in front than back. Thanks _________________ I NEVER KNEW I KNOW SO LITTLE, TILL NOW.... |

made a switch.
Still stock 4.5 inch front wheels, but with 205/75 15 Liberator All terrains.
No issues so far.
rear tires LOOK a LOT smaller in the pic, but in reality they about a 1/2 inch taller than the fronts. |
