Your '70 might have some small metal clips/spacers around the windshield, but they can be eliminated when you put the used windshield in.

You could probably sell that wrap around dash, find the correct dash for your car, and still have some money left over.

I noticed that when the engine is running, and in particular when i rev the engine, a fine "oil-cloud" is being sprayd from the end of the breather pipe`s end, is that normal or is there something wrong withe that breather?
Its not muchoil but it is enough to be a pain... Confused

You are supposed to route a breather hose to your air cleaner.

it is routed to the air-filter
the oil is being sprayed from the metal pipe that runs down next to the engine case en end up at the bottom of the engine
the hose that goes to the airfilter is ok, I didn`t see oil getting in the carbs, or in the aircleaner
I never took apart the breather, and don`t know what is inside it Sad

You mean the metal pipe that has the dipstick in it?

picture is from the classfields
this is the metal pipe that I was saying
Any ideas why oil could be spraying out at the end of the long pipe, but not at the short pipe that is conected to the air-cleaner? Question
thanks Very Happy

The engine has to breathe there as designed. It is probably worse because your piston rings have 100,000 miles on them, but they will last 150,000 if you keep oil in them.

thanks Mike
I suspected that it might be from the rings, I got an engine overhaul in the plan next year or maybe later, but for the moment it is still running ok so its not to urgent
cand I clean out the breather somehow on the isnide?
