Rugerone,
Could you post more photos and a closer picture of the "TYPE3 " on your Decal Set? |

Unfortunately no due to the due to I shouldn't be posting this info for an ad on this thread & I also know how easy it is to copy these things from a photo.
It took me a substantial amount of tweaking & liaising with another type 3 nut to get to this point so I am a little bit protective of my design. I hope you understand. |

Hey,
I understand, no worries. Just trying to compare your lettering to original. After looking close at your Stripe Kit, it appears the bottom of the "C" stripe to the wheel well opening is shorter than the original, other than that it looks good.

I would have to agree with you that some of the long distance photo's do look like the the bottom of the c should travel further but I built the artwork over the top of the blurry dealership brochure & kept the dimensions as true to this as I could & what I ended up with is what you see on the orange sb.[/img] |

Since starting this tread I have acquired a 1972 Australian Type 3 Brochure with the Racing Stripe in question. That said, I had taken the original artwork from that and help with photos from others that actually have an original Racing Stripe on their Type 3.
The "E" and "3" do connect.
Look where the air vents are and where the C cut-out and bottom of C ends it's past the center of the last two vents. This is why I said your stripe Kit looks a little short. Not to be picky but just an observation. |

Looking at this pic you posted and "zooming" in, it does look like they connect. Maybe i'm just seeing things? |

yes you're right.
but having said that none of the factory original examples that are still around have this from what I have seen. Mine certainly don't
perhaps borchue vs how they actually installed it in Clayton factory?
I would assume they would of been kiss cut like that then when installed the bit bridging it trimmed off to make it look nicer? maybe?

I was just looking at tis stripe kit on Ebay. All the pictures i see are late models. Did this stripe kit ever come on 69 and earlier models? I have a 69 fasty that these stripes would look cool on. |

They come in 1 piece and will fit early & late as they are cut to fit by the installer. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts
