OK purists. I have a friend that does glass etching and I want to commission her to make the inverse decal for etching my new windshield. Apparently, she can produce very fine details sharper than these examples below, so I have high hopes. I have determined that the Delog logo is what is appropriate for US export ovals. Mine is 1955.

I have these photos of examples but what I need are the dimensions of the octagon, and the AS1 font. Is there anyone out there willing to measure an original and post these dimensions, or take a picture with a metric ruler in place?

These photos are from the forum or links.

1953 example.
I can almost scale it fro the window rubber, but I prefer not to. And the location on the glass is another tidbit of info to gather. Very Happy

Lastly, is it supposed to be readable from the inside, or outside? Oops one more: Is it supposed to be a reverse image, so the logo is seen through the glass?

I would be willing to share the graphic file when it is complete for anyone else intrested in doing the same.

Bumping.

Anyone out there with this logo on an original windshield that can snap a photo with a ruler next to it?

Thanks!

Last call. Does anyone know how wide the octagon shape is?

interpolating from the photo - the width across flats looks to be twice the thickness of the inner screen rubber
