That looks good. Very nice job on it. Two milestones on the same day is great. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Finished the brakes, removed a broken lug nut, reinstalled trim rings and hubcaps after a good cleaning and she is ready to go. I would really like to rebuild the front end.

Nice ride height, how many clicks front rear? |
I actually set it to the stock height by degrees but I think it sits slightly lower than stock _________________ Volkswagen & Vinyl

Probably just torsion bar sag, or just settled in. I wouldn't worry about unless you start hitting ground. I think it looks good like it is. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yesterday.
Dash needs to be a 64 and the rear parcel tray is in the way of the convertible top. Out they come. The dash from the 64 nose donor will be used.

last weekend started on clean up of floorpans, today was able to finish welding all the little holes from A/C and other random things, cleaned up a bunch of rust and got most of it in primer. I figured out how to get the seatbelts off the floor pan so no more extra holes!

Not today, but yesterday I took it out for my first real spin in it.

But you are keeping the lap belts? Right? _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

I am not sure what you mean, this originally came with lap and sholder restrain belts which got swapped for retractable belt. The common thing is to mount the mechanism with a bolt to the floor pan rather than original mounting hole in the rocker.
Here I have retrable mechanism up, off the floor.

I don’t know what I am talking about. I only own early cars and don’t know late setups. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

Put a replica Talbot Berlin fender mirror on the passenger side & took it for a spin to see if turning the floor mat 90 degrees resolved or ameliorated the fast idle issues. Which it did by decreasing the problem by about 65 to 70 percent. |
