Brian - I saw what you bought...how stoked are you!?!? Congrats.
I sold all of my VW's a while ago, so I don't go to any of the VRK meets anymore.
I will say this....of all of the VW's I've owned since 1985 (and I've had some REALLY nice ones) the only one that I would like to have back in my possession would be my Class 11. In the condition that I sold it, not the F'd up mess it was the last time I saw it. What a shame. _________________ (ignore the X's ) |

I hear you Robb, I've felt the occasional seller's remorse on both my '73 blue baja as well as the Class 11 Brian picked up... at least I get to see Brian enjoy the Class 11. I never saw the blue one again
Brian, that's awesome you've racked up 12K miles since January! Post more pics!

50" curved, EBay special
I originally bought it to mount above the windshield in the truck but couldn't produce the mounts. So ended up taking some flat stock and sticking it on the bumper. It's bright as hell. _________________ Wash your hands

Yup, that's it. He called me after buying it wanting to know how he could make it more streetable. ??? I already had it dialed.
He removed the rack and oil cooler, the black wheels and 235 tires. Added nerf bars and a front sway bar.
Not a lot of changes, but what he did ruined the whole appeal of the car.
I should have bought it back. It's the ONLY VW I wish I hadn't sold. _________________ (ignore the X's ) |

What's really strange is that following that link gets the ad. But in the map, much of the text appears to be Russian (Cyrillic). Quite a nice Bug sxuxrxf. I always have trouble understanding someone who buys something that's modified special and is really nice, then change it. Like a guy a couple or few years ago who was here in the HBBOffroad forum asking how to convert the Baja Bug he bought to a stock Bug. It's not as if sxuxrxf's Bug was unusable on the street. There are LOTS of Baja Bugs that are far more radical running around on the street, including my own. _________________ Richard

It may not look entirely like it did, but it should still be a very solid car for the next owner. I'd be interested in seeing some current pics. _________________ (ignore the X's ) |
