I'm doing the bedliner as well. I put it on the entire pan and all of the suspension too. I'm using Grizzly Grip liner. It comes in about 20 colors. My Baja will be run on gravel roads, so I won't have to worry about rocks chipping the paint.

Your's is is really looking good.

where in WA are you?
ive noticed that the roll on bed liner does last better than the expensive spray one stuff. i have some rolled on my car and i was worried about it fading like some of the truck beds ive seen but so far its still as good as the day i rolled it.

and i dont know why i just noticed this but your rims look like faucet handles Laughing ive never seen those rims before.

I'm in Puyallup. I talked to you once before a couple of months back. I got the rims randomly. Not really sure what kind they are. I may just have to test how strong they are. Laughing

Looks great. Glad to see I'm not alone. I'm doing my Baja in total bed liner as well. I’m using Grizzly Grip bed liner because it comes in about 20 different colors. I've already done the entire pan top and bottom, and the complete suspension too. I will be using my Baja to do gravel road runs, so I don't want to worry about the constant beating by stones chipping paint.

I was initially going to use the Safari Tan color because it’s the same color as the mud on the gravel roads in Minnesota. After finishing the pan though, it looks a little pinkish instead of just tan. If Grizzly Grip can't mix it with less of a pink hue I will be going with the Dolphin gray on the body. I used Canary yellow on the bumpers, and suspension.

I'll also do the underside of the fenders so the stones won't cause the spider web, or star cracks in the fiberglass.

This is the pan I did.
You can get a UV blocker from Grizzly Grip so the finish doesn't chalk or fade, also a clear gloss over coating.

got some new stuff done. I'm not going to weld the cage in yet. The top is welded but not the bottom. I used 1/8th plate for the feet and also 1/8th for the plates on the underside. Eventually I'll weld in the bottom, probably when I switch to a 1 piece front.

I also beefed up my tie rods. Welded some tubing on. Notched to bottom of the passenger side to clear the frame head.

My little gem of a steering wheel. It's not too small.

I pretty much order all my stuff. I go to mouse meat for most of my stock parts. They have a lot of used stuff and are pretty cool about sharing info. I'm hoping to have my car driving in a month or two, but that might be wishful thinking.

Wherever. We might have to join forces. I've been looking for some people to go with. I haven't found many around here yet.

Thanks for the encouragement. It looks like you're and engineer. I just got accepted into the St Martin's engineering program in Olympia WA. I don't have a choice. I have to succeed my fiance is in a "only 5 people get in" graduate program in genetic bio chem or something like that. She's a wiz.

lookin' good, I like the bedliner idea more each time i look... but we'll see. now i have a question: why did you notch your tie-rod modifaction and not just take a BFH to the framehead a couple times? a small dent to the frame head seems better than making you strength mod weak with a notch... Confused anyway keep building and keep the pics coming.
