first fill-up since 1966
this is the third tank of gas. when we rolled up to the pumps at 11:30 that night the bus had quit. we czeched things out for a few minutes and when we started it, the bus lit itself on fire. you can still see the yellow powder on the ground.

Road tripping with KCW a few months ago ...
A few facts and figures from just one leg on our 2,700 mile road trip to Mt Shasta and back for the SST ...
Delta to Ely, 153 miles (according to google. Our speedo was out by about 7% and read 143 miles for this leg)
Used 9.021 gallons,
$32.12 total,
$3.559 per gallon,
16.96 mpg
UK price for comparison
34.148 litres,
1.40 UKP per litre,
47.80 UKP = $72.36
Well, that's why we can't do road trips so easily in the UK (and Europe for that matter)
