Well being that my bus started this thread here's my M code
Its a Sunroof/Walkthru/Factory2 tone paint/Kombi. The M code are as follow.
31 3
425 080 082 114 146 181
uo 2353 523623 12745##
It has M codes that are common, just not to a Kombi.

Someone had to backup the title of this thread. |

M145 is listed in a 1960 M Option catalog under M114 as "with 6 hinged side windows (USA, Canada, Guam M145)". _________________ ( ⫏ ⫐ )

It's the walkthru SO-23. Interesting they didn't stamp A23 on the m plate but it is on the Wolfsburg delivery paperwork.

Has anyone else noticed that on most of the M-plates posted so far, the slots in the mounting screws are parallel?

I think that's the most loaded one we've seen so far. 10 M-codes and all very desireable. _________________ fig

I always thought that walk-throughs had the 2/3 middle seat. If I read this correctly, my walk-through with the 2/3 middle seat, has the WRONG seat? Is this correct?
It would sure explain it being mounted with holes through the floor.

Yep, time for a new seat!
From what I have seen (and I don't know why), it seems the majority
of buses came with a full width middle, even if they had the w/t option.
I am sure everettb, campingbox, and Lind have more data on that... |

From what people have posted and I have seen, up to '63 walk-thrus usually had the long seat. '64-67 walk-thrus had the short seat as the default. _________________ How to Post Photos

My 65 21 window walkthru along with one just up the road which is also a 65 have long seats in them. My neighbor is bringing a 67 21 window walkthru home on Tuesday so I will see if that is the same. Both buses have the locks at the cargo doors and don't appear to be modified. |

I know the answer to my uqestion is probably in another thread somewhere, but sense I was reading this one.... Ev said,"'64-67 walk-thrus had the short seat as the default". My question is...If the bus came with a "short" seat would the lock's stop short? Reason for asking i have a '66 Kombi(EZ-Camper) w/walk through, and it has locks to the cargo's... I always thought Kombi's only came with a back seat(by default) so me thought it strange to even have the lock's in the first place!(I always kinda thought maybe all the floors were the same for all models of the same year) SO... if the answer to "short seat=less locks" After what everettb said, my floor just got stranger

17th of december 1958
360 183
UP 215 BLUE
seems a little plain, but double check the model number
-here is a boring one
january 24th 1961
372
UY 231 RED
only reason I like it, is because of what model it is, and the color it happens to be. Pretty uncommon. _________________ drive your split. |
