HAHA,^^^fastest way to slow an outlaw down, is to throw a boat anchor in the FRONT. |

Is that the beast that was for "sale" on Ebay a while back? It was from the Mid-West I think, had a Buick V6 in the front. That mill kinda has a hint of Buick to it with the distributor and water outlet/inlet placement. Plus the closeness of the crank and water pump pulleys to each other.
Got a link or more pics? LOVE to see 'em if you do. |

I'm really afraid that you're right! Here's a quick shot of the back end of my Pre-A. Rusted to perfection with a few Outlaw touches that were done WAY before Outlaws were popular.

It's pretty easy actually. Do you have any pictures of the front. There was a 356 done that way in the 50's, it had dual canted headlights. The car was blue. I can't remember but I think Barris did the work. I liked the car. I saw it in person about 10 years ago. It was in magazines from the period too. Dean |

You are right..It was a George Barris 356. It was featured in a 356 registry article sometine in the past 10 years. I believe it is know restored. I remember it being white with blue racing strips. _________________ Call your Cunado's:

The car I saw was at a cruise night in Castro Valley CA. It was blue with silver scallops, I think, it was close to 20 years ago. I was a real nice car. Maybe it was a clone of the Barris car, but I think the guy told me it was the Barris car. Either way it was cool, and I'd be happy to own it. |

I have several pictures posted in the gallery here that shows the cars in his barn during his 2006 Campout. Some good examples of Outlaws are there. |

It wasn't a George Barris car although it was constructed in his shop. The Porsche was designed and built by Dean Jeffries and it inspired Gary Emory when he saw it at a car show in LA in the early sixties. It's been called the "original Outlaw" in addition to the Kustom Karrera. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/solaros1/Porsche%20356%20restoration/f9d8e1f8.jpg
It's currently being restored to its original Dean Jeffries configuration. |
