We bought some repro steel bumpers last year. Found them via The Samba. Now I just can not remember the name of the guys. Small place in Orange County California. But that is not the important part.

The important thing is that the repro steel bumpers do not fit for shit. Thankfully we had a bumper section to take slices out of. It was not wide enough by more than an inch. (Back of the car never damaged.) Plus the curve at the ends was not correct. So besides spending like $600 per blade, we had to fiddle fuck around to get them to fit! But, now it has steel bumpers.

Best of Luck!

Wolfsburg West sells 1950-52 ribbed bumpers in raw steel. Unfortunetly, they aren't offered in Chrome. Front bumper (part #111707111) & the Rear (part #111707311) are $450/ea

What about Francisco at Kafer Nostaligia? Splitdog, I know of an NOS front deluxe bumper that is for sale, It was $500.00. When I look closer at the picture, it appears to be a rear, but I'm not sure.

Yes. Fronts don't have the groove in the center section. And they're curved way different. The fronts are almost straight, and then curve in at the ends.

I was just schooled on that a month ago about the small groove in the rear bumper just between the bolt holes, I found a stash of split parts in a guys attic and this bumper and my NOS split door was up there. He had told me it was a front but I didn't know that detail at the time.
