No door handles or window cranks! At least a VW can float, cause you'd drown in that bad boy... Also, why are the heater hoses cross connected like that? so weird! Couldnt you just cap them if you dont want heat?

I think he used the word 'Pigalle' more than Volkswagen.
I love the last photo (of his red car), with the final plea "Look, I really do have '66 cred- see this other faded car that's gone to T2D? They like me, they really like me" _________________

I'll definitely give him credit for that, even though I didn't read it. I personally couldn't get past the pictures and the price. |

This doesn't sound right to me. VW didn't make cars in 1964 to be 1966 models. _________________ How to Post Photos

He has no clue what he's even talking about. He's trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about, but those of us that actually do know, can see he really doesn't know what he's talking about. The pigalle interior was only used in 1966 type 1's and type 3's. It was also only available in pearl white and black bugs, I think that goes for type 3's as well, but they may have used it with other colors for type 3's. |

Way to ruin a bug, and then ask way too much for it. Stuff like this makes the original ones worth more, but still not what you see them being listed for most of the time.

Only a guy who doesn't know what it's like to have a car 100% done would call that 95% done...
His only saving grace is he didn't do that to a small window with original paint. _________________

Any time you do a custom color, or a color other than what the car came with, it's going to be tough to sell. You're literally stuck with it until someone with your same taste comes along. |

Air filter, aftermarket carb/dizzy, horn ring, flasher knob, seats/doors, bumper over rider bars... for $13k?
Having a 1966 sea sand sunroof car myself, this ad is quite interesting. There is something about that car's color that looks more like savannah beige that sea sand...? |

Not really a whine or a rant on this one other than the high price. That being said this is a very nice example of a survivor. All original that I can detect. Engine has been rebuilt. I did notice that the front seats have been bolstered to keep the drivers butt where it should be. Anyone that has driver their early VW in a spirited manner would understand the need for the seat modification.
Not sure it would get $27,280. But it is nice.

It's a nice car, just not worth the asking price. It's also been for sale since 2014. |
