I have the opportunity to make some limited production runs of small parts. What I am looking for is ideas of what ghia parts people are most looking for that are not currently available. Any help would be most appreciated. Parts can be cast, machined, vac formed, molded etc. |

Nothing personal at all. It just seems that every few monthes a thread comes up somewhere with someone asking the same question you did. Everyone gets all revved up about making parts....and then it never gets done. I have no clue who you are, perhaps you will be able to find a product and re-produce it. Perhaps you have the iniative and motivation to carry out the task. However, most of the time it ends up being to much work, or people lose interest. However, there are lots of gaps in what is available for these cars, so I encourage you to make something and make it well.
Lemke (another member here) has done an excellent job of re-making the original floor mats. Ghiagirl (another) just told us she has some choke cables being re-made.
If you want my idea, remake the kneepads that go on the bottoms of dashes. |

Lemke has samples of knee pads I sent him. He's too busy to re-pop them now, but they are on his list.
I am hoping to attend John Kelly's metal shaping classes in the spring and I would like to start repopping some sheet metal piece. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

The key is to make it as good of quality as possible. Id rather have a broken and/or missing part than a poorly made or easily sighted reproduction. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |

Are there any legal ramifications these people have to watch out for if they actually do follow through and reproduce some parts? Like licensing or something? |

I still would like to see a re-production of the quarter window popout hinge/locks .
There's repops for popout hinges for Buses, Beetles...but no repops for Ghia popouts hinges. _________________ Jim Kikuchi

I am monitoring this board and taking notes on all requests. Currently, I am in the process of filing all the required paperwork for licensing and permits for my state. I have retained an attorney who is trying to expedite this process. I expect to be up and running by the end of January. I will then post a message letting everyone know what I have for sale. Thank you for your patience. _________________ www.lyonsperformance.com |

House of Ghia and KGP&R had the hinges. Have you checked recently with either source? _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

I agree. You can actually build a zero mile '69 Camaro convertible in your garage. How would one go about doing the same with a Ghai???
Anybody out there care to repop a ghia sedan or vert? |
