Anybody know what happened to the bottom 2tone car? There is a RHDSplit/Rag on airbags that showed up at a show here last year, nobody seemed to know anything about it. Just wondering if it is the same car? If it is, it's silver now.

Yeap. Thats it. It was bagged and painted at a local shop. No bags before when it was pictured above.

It also wears the rear clip from my friend's deceased '55 Oval.

When I saw it at the show, it was not anywhere near show condition. It looked like it was done 20 years ago? Maybe it was just a fast job? I remember the Pope's nose had a big smash on it.

That car was never really taken care of to the best of my knowledge. It was bought from that old Sausage King collection, converted to RHD and then it recieved about as many old school tricks to lowering the car as possible.

Nonetheless.. I love the way it looks. Although people were starting to do the rat look thing around that same time.. I think that Split changed alot of people's minds on restored vs. ratty.
