This 1971 Ghia had a conversion to alternator. The wiring chart I have shows earlier generator. Can you tell me if the wiring looks correct? Reason I ask is that I read that there should only be 2 wires going to the alternator (which has internal regulator) and I have 3 wires.
I assume the brown wire on the left is a ground. Big red from battery goes to the B+ and a green wire with spade end is engaged next to it.
The panel light is working correctly by glowing when key is turned on and going out after engine starts.

It looks fine.
The ground wire was there from the factory generator installation. _________________ I have learned over the years.
