|
|
I need to replace a few sections of my fuel line ( 2.0 FI ) all I can find around town is 1/4 " not for fuel injection.
Will that stuff work or do I have to order the 7.0mm FI stuff.
The sections I am replacing are pre pump, so I dont think the pressure should be a problem, but I am not sure if the decrease in volume would cause premature pump failure.
Thanks |

I know you can buy that locally in Ft. Collins. try the VW dealer or the Benz dealer. Want the FI quality though. |

I would guess Chris at BustedBus in Boulder could help you too...give you an excuse to hit the Walnut Brewery for a beer _________________ '71 bug, answers to "Clementine"

None of the auto part chains will be able to help you out.

1/4" is too small. You'd have to use 5/16" hose. Besides have too large an inside diameter (ID) the american hoses are either a) not high pressure b) go hard with 6 months and don't last or c) both.
You'll have to get some from your local VW parts supplier. OEVeedub is in Lake George, CO...look for these part numbers:

The fittings are not 1/4" so how would you get the hose to fit?
The best FI clamps (Gemi 13) at the best price are 7mm clamps for Mercedes Benz cars. Order (001 997 69 90) and look for 50-69 cents per clamp for a good deal (anywhere but the MB dealer of course). _________________ '78 Westfalia CDN
