Hello everyone,

I found some rare decoration add-on for my collection:
a HAZET seal or plaque for HAZET Assistent 161, 162 and probably 166 TS circa 1976.

Visible in that old 1977 HAZET Assistent flyer (I circled them in yellow) with references to the 1976 main catalog:
(title: "the big HAZET Assistent show")

So. I now have two Rademacher lamps.
Question: which should I give to my buddy. ? I only want one to keep one lamp for myself. I think the black one is better suited to my needs !!! What do you guys think ?

the silver one never sold by HAZET - so give it away.

Rademacher was an old company (founded 1914 - included to another company 2018) with many industrial lamps such as scissor lamps or with rollable stands for doctors and laboratories. Only one model of them with different versions over time 1954-1979 was sold by HAZET.

The black one fit to early little "a" Hazet Assistent 160/161/162 of the time frame of 1954 to around 1963 (followed by the same partly in grey, exchanged by a modern design in 1967 - but different to your silver model). The switch is missing the rubber cap to protect against dust and water - but it is mostly missing - the rubber got brittle over the decades. But also the joint at the base is missing and the junction box for the incoming cable (3 cores with grounding incoming - to 2 cores for lamp in front - I hope it is currently securely connected with grounding - spend a new cable also inside to be safe or cut the cable entirely). So quite incomplete and not in such a good condition. Crying or Very sad

Thank you for your reply Rolf.
Yes. There is indeed a new cable on the black one. And a switch. But not rademacher unfortunately, but fine for my needs.
I am leaning towards the black one certainly.
I may borrow the lower fixture and hinge part for the lower joint off the grey lamp and transfer to the black one, to attach to the upright of the Assistent.
MFG.

Hello,
SplitBusVanatic wrote:
And a switch.

??? why an extra switch at the cable? So the inbuild switch above the lampshade is also missing or broken.
(as I already wrote: normally protected from dust and water with a rubber cap - held on the surrounding groove - got brittle over the decades)

Yes. There was no switch on my black lamp. I added a generic lamp cable switch one when i put a new cable on it.

Any luck with a key for your TS ?

Accessory 1607 - anyone have one?

I didn't flip through all 61 pages of this thread yet, but a random look indicates these were not common. 480 mm long-ways dividers. Also, setup D look useful! Any 1605 and 1606 out there?

Rather find some real ones than go tin snips and rattle-can blue paint route...

Hello Craig,

I've never seen them in classified ads here in Germany or in other forums the last 5 years.
So they are very rare.

I only know these special dividers from old HAZET catalogs and photos -
like this to the 10,000 produced Hazet Assistent in the 50s with a mixture of setup B and D:
(before 1959, because then 25,000 are already produced)

That's a neat photo - practically a charming Mom-and-Pop-factory set-up.

I may look for a modern 1607 equivalent and try to modify; I have a few tools that would go better lengthways rather than tossed in the tub at bottom! I have to say, at first I was a bit embarassed to have spent the (very fair-price) money on mine, but I use the damn thing every day, and rolling it around is so much nicer than closing and hauling my big metal toolbox(es) from one task to another. If you have been thinking about tool storage and can spare the cash, I recommend them. Plus, spouse thinks it's cute.

Hello everybody,

not a single tool for the other HAZET thread - not really an Assistent but a classic HAZET tool storage,
my next and probably last big old project on this subject:
HAZET 100 - large tool cabinet from around 1970-1976
Will give me a nice job again for a few months during the restoration after my three Assistents...
(most of the tools for this are already in my collection)

Hello everyone,

while my large tool cabinet is still under restoration (is now dented, rust removed, spare parts arrived),
I have compiled an overview of the history of the HAZET 100 from 1950 to 1985:

some - not all as 781-5 hub puller and some sheet metal tools (I have other) - and some existing tools that i didn't immediately find for the photo today Embarassed
What I didn't know until today: above the 450 wrench pyramid behind the wheel cross there is still a place to hook in a 450 Remscheid holder with other open-end wrenches to take with you quickly.

But still in progress: CHROM VANADIUM inscription at the top is still missing, the lock is still being worked on (will be good and look like original), ...
and I need a shorter saw blade - the long one (new HAZET blade) did not fit Crying or Very sad

Hello everyone,

I was finally able to find the right metal sign (made around year 2000) for my Hazet Assistant 160 (made in 1954):
(it was also a bargain at only US$ 10 in best condition - I've had already the similar coffee tin box for some years)
