Pleased to report a happy outcome to my original whine, bought the tube I've been searching high and low for to modify my bus to kombi style heating. Heater log was long gone when I got my bus and the remaining piece of tube beaten into the floor.
Been a good week for parts collecting, a beautiful original 1961 commercial seat cover arrived here yesterday and now this tube is one of the last pieces I've been searching for. |

Agreed. I sold something last year and after the fees and shipping i barely made anything.I wont be using ebay again.

Yes, this is a problem and has basically killed eBay for anything that used to be low priced.
I used to buy stuff like crazy off there and now things don't even appear because no one wants to list things that are worth $5 or $10 or whatever and not make any money.

^That doesn't need a whine. Not affiliated with the seller /owner, but I know the place where the metal resto was done. Very serious business with seriously talented traditional craftsman. if this BD shell was only half as nice as what they usually build, it's still great. I don't know whether the asking price is or isn't according to current market value, but it certainly must be a great chance for somebody who has the money to do the rest.
