Just to be clear I never was considering anything unscrupulous.
As Braukuche stated I was thinking only with new stamped parts. It would make more sense to leave the trash behind if the seller was willing than ship or drag it to your shop to scrap it. This ability to replace everything, to me, seemed like the possible new thing. It also meant that a legal 23 Window could again see the pavement. It also means that people like the 23 Wood Window are legitimately selling a product worth having done due diligence on the paperwork.
With the legal papers is the only way I would consider it. Some people might want less and only paper showing that the property is clear and legally owned. |

It does create an interesting question, at what point is it a restoration and at what point fraud when it comes to rebuilding a rusty beat to shit car? When you replace 51% of the metal? 60%? 80%? 95%? _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

definitely fraud at 100% metal replacement.
I have always thought that a bus that is a conversion to a deluxe from a solid base car is a better car than an original deluxe sunroof that was a rusty wreck to begin with which had 50% of it's metal replaced, especially if it needed 75% or 100% of it's metal replaced. Whatever it is, if there are not detailed pre-restoration pictures and restoration pictures and details, then you don't know the true nature of the car. Good or bad. _________________ .

I guess "COMPLETELY RESTORED" has slightly different connotations in Spain. Dig the random use of black rattle-can to resemble guide-coat and create the illusion of workmanship.
And all for 30.000€

I think the "seller" just enjoys putting it up "for sale" and has no intentions of actually selling the bus at any price. |

Multiple people tried to buy it from him back before he ass-raped it, so maybe he is just trying to relive the good old days when people actually wanted the bus that he owns.... _________________ .

Is this bus a real Westy?
All you need after paying to have it re-restored correctly is 30K in interior.
There is only one other real sunroof Westy right; the pokadot bus? _________________ WANTED:

Yes, it is a real SO34 sunroof Westy, however it has hardly any of its Westy interior. It looks like it still has its flip seat from the ad but that is about it.
Basically the seller wants $90k for a sunroof kombi shell with a Fluffy paint job (where's the throw up emoji?!?!?)
StockNazi wrote: |

That is incorrect. There is a sunroof SO22 and AC Mack has owned a sunroof SO42 since the Reagan Administration. There was also a Ruby Red sunroof Kombi that came out of the Midwest that had fragments of an SO33 interior. That bus has its own build page and is now in the UK _________________

There are several known sunroof westfalias. A campingbox, a couple SO-23s, this SO-34, a couple SO-22s, and a couple SO-42s.
This bus needs everything, and to be de-customized then restored, so it would only be marginally worthwhile to build as a stock westy if it was free. There is pretty much no way a person would not be upside down in this bus in a big hurry. It is a monster rare bus, just too far gone. It is a custom sunroof kombi now. _________________ .

I think this bus has a long history on the samba. I remember seeing it in a photo unrestored and parked in the street. People were trying to figure out what is was...a flipseat with a big hole in the roof. |
