Notcho, you have us beat by 4 degrees. It's 70 here. Just dug out the 78 Westy for my winter beater. It loves the Texas cold (35-85degrees in the winter).

Found the old snow chains I made for a 77 bus I drove about 7 years ago. I put them under the back seat of the Vanagon but I don't think I will have to use them.

this wasn't supposed to be my winter car, but i don't have a choice now. earlier today it was covered with salt after the trip down from new york.

1992 Dakota 4x4, that I have owned since it was new. 175K miles on the original engine and tranny.
I have 5 miles of gravel/snow to drive, just to get to a paved road. And the county snow plow follows my tracks.
I live in central Iowa.

95 Mercury Grand Marquis. Couple of bags of hardened Quickcrete in the trunk for ballast. There's a lot to be said for riding a sofa with good heat during the cold and raw coastal New England winter.
