I am looking into buying a rollback. I currently work for a towing company, and have thought about buying my own and catering exclusivly to the VW community. I have been driving and tinkering with VW's for about 20 years now and have a quite incurable love for the critters. So I am looking at this as an oppertunity to mix both work and pleasure.
I am going over the costs of owning and operating one, and would like to hear from you all about what kind of rates you have paid for shippments. Trying to research as much as I can to see how feasable this is. If you would either post it here or send me the info ( I am keeping a file for this).
Looking for mostly east coast rates, east of the Mississippi and from Fla to Maine. But all are welcome, you never know. Even looking at having custom covers made for all VW models that will protect them on the trip as well.
Also looking at offering a vehicle inspection service, keeping a website going that will show planned routes so that if you are interested in a vehicle and it is in the general vicinity of my route I can inspect/take photos of the vehicle for you.
Let me know what you all think of this as well.
Please post them here or send them to me directly at [email protected]

There is a guy on this site with the samba handle "Weatherly" He seems to do alot of VW hauling. Perhaps he could answer a Q or two about costs. _________________ Schrodinger's cat walked into a bar and it didn't.
