I just wanted to ask if this is the correct logo for splits? I think it is but want to confirm it.

The funny story about this logo is that my dad found it on the road like 30-40 years ago. He picked it up an left it lying in the barn... Then later when I started to get into the VW scene about 15 years ago. I added it to my "collection"

I guess my dad never thought that it might get usefull he just took it home.... Shocked Lucky me! Very Happy

Not too sure, I know its older, like 50's? How big is it. I am thinking maybe a Ghia... but maybe a early split.?

That was used on Beetles fronts up to April 1950. Then it got the gap between the V and the W. (but still solid).

Ok. Thanks! I knew about the ones with the gap but wasn't sure if that was the older one and mine was some newer one..

You could say my dad made a score when he picked up the logo. Very Happy

It was officially changed to the logo with the gap in April 1950. However, I have seen original 1951 cars that still had this kind of logo!
So I guess like usual they used the left overs from the past years...

I've a 07 /52 beetle and there is a gap on the VW.
A friend who have a 10/51 beetle ( full original) have no gap on the VW.
